There is zero scientific evidence that anything will happen, but there are numerous things that could easily threaten the human species in the year 2012, such as planet X hitting earth, volcano, pole reversal, solar flares drying earth, alien invasion, earthquakes, tsunamis, a geomagnetic reversal, asteroid strike or supernova. Or something more intimate, like a flu pandemic, or a nuclear war. And we already saw a glimpse of how swine flu affected the world. It may be just a beginning.
Some of the most popular space-based threats to the Earth and mankind focus on Planet X wiping most life off the planet, meteorite impacts, black holes, killer solar flares, Gamma Ray Bursts from star systems, a rapid ice age and a polar (magnetic) shift. Hey 2012 site, I am ready for 2012 but just tell me how to survive for 2012. Should i quit my school?
I'm just a survival guy like you others. And I think we should act normal, and do everthing as normal. Until 2012 comes. There will be signs and media reports long before december 21. But stand ready with survival gear. And have a evac plan to a "Safe-place". Such as underground bunker. Mountain cave. etc. Since we dont know what will happen? It's best to prepare the worst.
