But do these tragedies necessarily prove that something of a grander scale is coming in 2012? Are they a pre-cursor? Of course, only history will tell.

You people are ridiculous. 2012. IS. NOT. REAL! And anyone who confuses reality with fantasy (like the actually year with that stupid movie) is a retard.
You say that Los Angeles was also hit by a major earthquake. Are you predicting the future, or are you writing about the 4.4? That hardly qualifies for a major quake. Of course, you could be predicting, that most certainly we are entering a major shift in energies!
First of all, most people fail to forget the accumulative effect of how energy sometimes really works, like capacitors. They may say, "oh, the poles shift so slowly, as not to be noticed!" What about the tipping point, when North is suddenly becoming Southern fluxed on a magnet and vice versa, because the energies shifted? This may not cause our Planet to suddenly flip; yet it could begin to produce a mass skewing of our minds, in a sense (or non). We, being so accustomed to right brain thought (and vice versa) may start to scramble, kind of like what happens to whales in suddenly different (Major) frequencies. They scramble; get lost.
This may not be such a bad thing, if we were accustomed to it, or knew it was happening; yet, obviously, there has been mass change within the past 60 years alone, and so many self help books trying to make sense of everything! Meanwhile Pharmacists are gold minders. Things are accelerating at such a fast pace, that perhaps we are more subjective to a subtle change of energies (planet wise) than we think? When the energy reaches the middle area, the direction of the force plays a great role in determining the pole shift, immediately. Obviously, initially this shift comes from Earth's interior, which is dynamically attached to our Sun.
This may be what is already occurring. What we call modern advancement, has obviously caused a great stress and change already to our DNA. We are ingraining, at this very moment, DNA wise, things that no other historical time's people have ever produced; like the terror of mass destruction/extinction caused by our own selves. Meanwhile, things are on the increase in seismic activity (magma flow). Are there correlations to US and our Planet? Absolutely!
Just as there are no coincidences, with only co incidences, everything is interconnected in such a way that no one can ignore the Earthquakes innerconnectivity of the magma below the plates, can they? The steamy streams within all intermingle in one way shape or form. Sometimes they even burn differently, from time to time, thus causing certain substances to expand and so forth. You missed out on Earthquakes in Christchurch, New Zealand...(twice, last year 2010 and this year 2011) and also Japan 2011.
8724 is correct. The 8.9 earthquake that hit Japan on March 11 followed by the Tsunami rose the coast of Japan by nearly 7 degrees (more or less, not sure of the exact number). This increased amount of Earthquake's in the past two years obviously isn't a good sign, I'm sick of ignorant people saying "

I'm positive my parents nor yours know nothing more than I do about what the future will bring, also tired of ignorant religious people saying that "Increased amounts of Earthquakes will bring the second coming of Christ" (Stop making a completely uneducated assumption on something you know nothing about). 2012 is a year that will happen no matter what, now whether or not something very cataclysmic will affect the whole World is unknown, but based on the increased amounts of Earthquakes I'll be preparing for anything, I'm buying a load of MRE's and stocking up on water. I'm hoping for the best, but the way things are going, it's not looking positive at all.
I live in Nepal and very worried. Can someone please tell me more why Nepal is mentioned in this article. What makes him think Nepal could be the next hard hit. Is there any historical evidence that have triggered earth quake in Nepal after all these sequential events around the tectonic plates? Please shed some lights.

Who ever has published this article, he might be right. Previously I showed my concern about about Nepal. Now look earthquake is heading towards that region. Just yesterday it has hit the Thailand (25 March). OMG, please write something what you know. When will it hit Nepal? Is that going to happen in next 30 days. I'm pretty sure he knows something. Otherwise he won't mention Nepal out of blue.

Please say something about Nepal. Is there possibility to hit Nepal? The reason I'm asking is there is history hitting hard in every 80 to 100 years in Nepal. It is now due. Just wanted to know in advance by 3/4 week. Next time I will submit some supporting article. Please give me some clue or data where I can do my own research. I know no one can predit it. Most advance country such as Japan could not predict it. If you have some idea, please let me know.

in my opinion, if the world ends, it ends. there's absolutely nothing we can do about it. we need to simply go about our lives like we did before all of these 2012 theories came up. just forget about it. as far as all of these earthquakes go, there have been an alarming increase in the number and stregnth in earthquakes world wide, which does not seem to be a positive aspect; however, the earth has been getting along just fine now for the past 4.5 billion years. earthquakes have been a part of earth's nature since day 1 of it's existance. for all we know, there could have been earthquakes this strong and frequent striking just the way they are today for the past 200 years. we are just hearing more about them now because we have increasing news coverage world wide. for example, before the news channels could get to these places and actually do world-wide coverage, we had no way of knowing whether or not these monster earthquakes were hitting like they are today. another factor that seems to be scaring people tremendously is the mayan calender. as i am sure you all know, the mayan calender comes to an end on december 21, 2012. could this be a sign? we don't know. did the mayans chose to end their calender on this date because they perhaps new something major was going to happen? we don't know. we have many more questions than we do answers, but one question we do have an answer to is this: could the mayan calender go on forever? answer: of course not. just like our calender and every other calender that exists, it has to come to end sometime. our calender ends on december 31st every year and restarts just like their calender ends on december 21st approximately every few thousand years (not 100% positive about how many years the mayan long count calender covers, so i don't want to state any false information). so, ultimately these factors lead up to the question that everyone wants an answer to- what will happen in 2012? the answer only lies ahead. for now, go about your lives and i'll do the same. don't waste your time stacking up on food, water, etc. because if something does happen that will somehow destroy earth, you're dead either way, regardless of how much food/water you have. you can't run from earth. there's no where else to go.
